BACALAR LAKE OF THE SEVEN COLORS

Book BACALAR LAKE OF THE SEVEN COLORS

Bacalar is home to some of the oldest organisms on the planet that could help decipher the origin of life and the secrets left by pirates of the 17th and 18th centuries when they hid there.

Bacalar is simply a paradisiacal town that will make you fall in love with its small fishermen's houses where there is a beautiful blue green lagoon and the Uchben Kah eco-tourist park, where you can swim, snorkel, dive or take quiet boat rides.

Live a unique experience in the Magical Towns of Mexico, visit Bacalar.

Bacalar is a delight for all the senses. In this magical town, enjoy the Laguna de los 7 Colores, with a pleasant boat ride. You can bathe and appreciate the various shades of blue that this body of water offers. At the end, visit the picturesque town where you will see important sites such as the Baluarte de San Felipe, which was built to defend the city from pirates; the church of San Joaquín and the cenotes Esmeralda and Cocalitos.

Bacalar was founded by the Mayans and was harassed by pirates for centuries for its commercial importance on the shore of the lagoon of the seven colors. It is a place full of culture whose influence you can see on the facades of the entire town.
